EASY PRETTY CROCHET SCARF PATTERN

HOW TO MAKE AN EASY CROCHET SCARF

Christmas is near and it is good to prepare for the gifts. This scarf is very easy to make and it is really awesome. The secret is in the yarn. If you can not find some fancy yarn you can choose different types( mohair, tape yarn, eyelash yarn, wool, silk) and crochet them together. All you have to know are the basic stitches. This project is very suitable for beginners.

MATERIALS:
Fancy yarn, 100 gr (3.53 oz)
Hook size: 8 mm

ABBREVIATION: USA Terms
Rnd - round
st - stitch
ch - chain
hdc -  half double crochet

HOW TO MAKE HDC:

1.Yarn over hook once, insert hook from front to back in the center of the third chain from the hook.

2.Yarn over, draw the yarn through the chain (3 loops on hook).

3.To begin the second row, turn your work. Chain two for the turning chain.

4.Skip the first half double crochet below the turning chain.

5.Yarn over, insert hook from front to back under the top 2 loops of the next half double crochet in the row below, yarn over, draw yarn through stitch, yarn over, draw yarn through 3 loops on hook (first half double crochet complete).

6.Repeat this step in each half double crochet across and in the top of the turning chain at the end of the row.

Start with 12 ch foundation

Rnd 1: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from the hook, 1 hdc in next 9 sts, ch 2, turn
Rnd 2: 1 hdc in each st across (total: 10 hdc)
Repeat Rnd 2 until reach wanted length. Fasten off and weave in the end.
In my case the scarf has the measurements: 47" length (119.5 cm) and 4.5" width (11.5 cm)

I hope you'll like my idea for that fancy scarf as a Christmas gift. You can wear it around your neck or around your head as a head wrap.
